Made with Xara Web Designer before blast2 after blast1 Sitemap More information on our new on site blasting and coating service to steel concrete and stone can be found here        Surface Preparation Surface preparation varies according to specification requirements but it us the key to the longevity of the coating system. Carbon steel has a mill scale deposit which must be removed prior to application of any coating; this is done via abrasive cleaning using compressed air and a blast media.  There are many types of media that suit different applications.  Chilled iron grit is the media of choice for carbon steel during off site applications with an expendable grit being utilised for on site applications (bridges, concrete soffits, stone etc.). Other substrates, stainless steel, aluminium etc require soft non metallic blast media such as glass bead or garnet to minimise cross contamination.  We are confident we can prepare most surfaces to your specifcation - Give us a call on 0151 549 2322 for more information
